Climate change caused more internal displacement than war in 2020, with storms, landslides, floods, drought and wildfires forcing many to flee their homes and abandon their livelihoods and way of life. As the earth continues to heat rapidly, more than 200 million people could be displaced by 2050. And the world’s poorest and most vulnerable suffer the worst from the climate crisis, even as they contribute the least to it.
