Your Personal Paleo Code: The 3-Step Plan to Lose Weight, Reverse Disease, and Stay Fit and Healthy for Life
About the Book
The national bestseller that "condenses Kresser's vast knowledge to help you look, feel, and perform your best." - Robb Wolf, author of The Paleo Solution
As the Paleo movement sweeps the nation, millions have discovered the health benefits of following the lifestyle of our hunter-gatherer forebears. But what happens when we hit a wall and weight loss stalls, energy flags, illness sets in, or we're tired of restricted eating?
In The Paleo Cure, Chris Kresser uses the Paleo diet as a template from which you can tailor a simple yet powerful three-step program-Reset, Rebuild, Revive-to fit your lifestyle, body type, and genetic blueprint. You'll learn how to eliminate the toxic foods that cause illness and weight gain, how to sleep better, exercise like our ancestors, cultivate pleasure, and vastly improve overall health. Kresser helps further personalize your prescription by addressing specific health conditions, from heart disease to digestive problems. Best of all, you only have to follow the program 80 percent of the time; there's room to indulge, in moderation, and still experience dramatic results.
Comprehensive, dynamic, and enlightening, The Paleo Cure is based on cutting-edge research and combines the best of ancient wisdom and modern science. It provides a flexible and accessible program with helpful charts and quizzes, a seven-day meal plan, and delectable, nutritious recipes to help you lose weight, reverse disease, and achieve optimum health.

About the Reviews
I was skeptical at first for the first few chapters if this would be a book for me. I have read almost every book out there on nutrition and lifestyles from Atkins on one extreme to being a Vegan on the other extreme. While, some of the food choices that the book suggests I dont see myself ever eating, this book is much more than nutrition. I like to hear different perspectives anyways and he backs what he says up with research even if it's a food choice that is not for me. However, I found myself following so many of the recommendations in this book (not 100%), but many on the supplements, types of food, and interesting things he talked about for improved sleep and stress management. Overall, this is one of the best books I every read on nutrition and lifestyle. It really is a lifestyle book. Like I said I did not follow 100%, but I got so much out of it in totality and it is VERY WELL WRITTEN (I did the audio version of the book) and I really enjoyed how it was organized and put together.

If you’re looking for the definitive book on health in general, and the Paleo diet specifically, this is it!!! The author outlines a three-part plan to customize the Paleo diet for your specific needs, beginning with a 30-day “Restart.” During the 30 days, you return to a diet plan that conforms to that of our distant ancestors, allowing your body to heal itself of the chemicals in processed (and otherwise adulterated) or mismatched (i.e. for human consumption) foods. By the end of the 30 days you should feel better than ever.
It only took me a day or two to begin to feel a difference! I am nearing the end of my 30-day Restart, and, having tried most of the diets out there, including low-fat, low-carb, vegan, vegetarian, raw-foods vegan, and counting points, I can only say that after all these years I’ve FINALLY found the right diet for my health and weight loss.
(The book also discusses other health-related issues, such as sleep, exercise, and stress-management.)
Many of my aches and pains have disappeared, my blood pressure is lower, my skin in softer, the lines on my face are disappearing or lessening, and I’m sure most, or all, of my other issues will resolve in the near future.

I really like the way Chris explains everything and that it provides a guide for determining what makes sense for you. So many of the books are much more rigid in their philosophy. Chris applies common sense and a realization that we are all a little different and we need to customize our diets for our specific needs. I've read this book cover to cover. The success I've had with his approach his been great. I'm six feet tall and weighed over 225 pounds, blood pressure was typically 140 over 90 even though I was on a daily dose of 100 mg of metoprolol, and my cholesterol was high. Over about a four month time frame, my weight had dropped to 190, my cholesterol dropped 75 points, and my blood pressure now is typically 130 over 80 or lower with no blood pressure medications. I would not classify this as a diet book ... this is a lifestyle book. The best thing is I rarely feel hungry and I'm able to eat foods that I enjoy that were previously identified as not being healthy ... like eggs, bacon, coconut, avocados, etc. Another thing that has been surprising is that I really don't miss the items that are no longer on my diet. I'm now re-reading the book to pick up additional tips. In my mind, this is the best guide available for improving your health.
