About the Author

Tom O’Bryan, DC, CCN, DACBN, is an internationally recognized speaker and writer on chronic disease and metabolic disorders. He organized the popular Gluten Summit in November 2013. Dr. O’Bryan has more than 30 years of experience as a functional medicine practitioner and is an adjunct professor at the Institute for Functional Medicine. He lives in San Diego.

I have been a registered pharmacist for 10 years. I've worked closely with physicians in office and hospital settings. I am telling you that physicians and pharmacists are not aware or not applying the knowledge that Dr. O'Bryan has shared in this book to their patients. I was in a position where my own health was declining. I was in constant pain, completely stressed out, a raging lunatic, and starting to look old before my very own eyes. I could barely raise my young children or be a valuable resource for my own patients. My field of pharmacy had nothing (Trust me, NOTHING) that could safely help me. I stumbled upon Dr. O'Bryan through a Gluten Summit that he hosted and I have been following him ever since, for about 3.5 years. I have been able to completely turn my health around. My hormones are more balanced, I am no longer in constant pain and I look younger than I did when I graduated college. Also, I have lost all of my excess weight (easily). Dr. Tom O'Bryan's Autoimmune Fix is my go to resource for anyone suffering with an autoimmune condition. Dr O’Bryan has a clear-cut two-phase approach called “The Transition Protocol” which aims to reduce your body burden and optimize healing. Phase 1 cuts out gluten, dairy and sugar, and encourages a real food diet, giving detailed lists of what to eat, which nutrients to include and which toxins to avoid. Dr. O'Bryan has quite literally saved my life. 7 years ago, I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease and chronic Lyme Disease simultaneously, and was told I may never recover fully from my debilitating symptoms.
