It’s no secret that the final season of Game of Thrones has been immensely disappointing for the majority of the fanbase. Characters that fans have watched evolve for years and have grown to love, are suddenly behaving wildly out of character.

Even the Thrones cast seem deeply disappointed with the way their story ended, judging from their incredibly awkward interviews, in which they act as enthusiastic about season 8 as Ben Affleck was about Batman v Superman.

There’s a reason everyone is disappointed. Thousands of essays could be written (and have been written) on the sins committed by season 8. The ridiculously well-crafted, beloved show crashed and burned at the finish line, seemingly rushed to completion, like a student hastily typing an essay the night before the deadline.
